Tagging

We also ask that you add “Tags” to your posts. “Tags” are intended to group materials thematically across the course. The tags this course uses will develop over time based on the work of its authors.

How to add a tag:

On the right-hand side of the “Add New Post” (or “Edit Post”) interface, below the category box, is a space to enter tags. Again, you may enter whatever and as many tags as you like, though it is best if you:

  • divide your tags in the text box by commas.
  • keep your tags relatively short — one or two words if possible.
  • try to align your tags with tags your peers have already used. Keep in mind that “sciencefiction” and “science-fiction” will render as two separate tags. There is a link in the tag box to “Choose from the most used tags”, though people who are the earliest students in this site will not have much to choose from!

As the course progresses over time, your instructor or other TRU staff person may add or edit your tags to enhance the navigation of the site.
